FAKER'S COVER LANGUAGE!!! Things you need to know!

I have written 10 other guides in an attempt to keep the unsuspecting from getting burned on e-bay by the many sellers of fake and fantasy Civil War relics, Indian Relics, Slavery items, etc... Don't fool yourself! There are MANY leeches selling fake and misrepresented items on e-bay everyday that will be happy to take your hard-earned money and sell you junk. Now that e-bay is policing all the ORIGINAL PERIOD categories, most of the fakers are selling in the REENACTMENT/REPRO categories. But because they are slimy scum, they STILL try to deceive you with cute cover language in their auction descriptions. Below are some things that should alert you that you are dealing with a crook.

ANY ITEM BEING SOLD IN THE REENACTMENT/REPRO CATEGORY IS NOT REAL!!

"I believe that this button is a Civil War coat button." Then WHY is it listed in REENACTMENT/REPRO dummy??? Simple: it is a repro button and the seller KNOWS IT!!! You see, the sellers of fakes used to have free reign to list their junk in the ORIGINAL PERIOD categories and claim their items were good. They use PRIVATE AUCTIONS to hide their bidders ID's so no one could warn them, and they made a lot of ill-gotten money. Now that e-bay has cracked down on them, they are trying to B.S. people still in their descriptions and hope the bidders won't pay attention to the category.
"I do not know the providence so listing in repro category." Gee! What an honest guy! He isn't sure of the "providence" (I think the moron means "Provenance" as "Providence" is a town in Rhode Island) so he is looking out for all you potential bidders by listing his FAKE ITEM in REENACTMENT/REPRO. What a pal! What this human toilet-brush is REALLY doing is trying to put enough doubt in your mind that you toss in a bid anyway in the hopes that MAYBE it IS real. If you fall for this, then you need to beat yourself in the head with a tack hammer because your are a SAP! The scum seller knows WELL that the item is a fake or he would list it in the proper category. E-BAY REQUIRES NO LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY TO SELL RELICS!!!!!
"I have had four experts tell me these were real." Sure you have. So if I am a potential buyer I want to know exactly WHO these "experts" are, and I want to be able to contact them. The other cover line is that, "I took it to a Civil War relic show and several dealers told me it was real." Both of these statements are rooted in manure. If he took it to a relic show and it was real, a dealer would have BOUGHT IT! Why take the time to bring it home and pay e-bay to sell it...in the REENACTMENT/REPRO category where you won't get anything for it??? Answer: BECAUSE ITS A FAKE!!!! Anytime these scumbags say an "expert" says an item is good, get a name, number, etc...and contact the guy. GOOGLE his name and see if he REALLY is an expert. Go online to Civilwardealers.ge and ask some of the REAL experts if this guy is legit or not. NEVER BUY THIS CRAP!!!
"Let me say that I don't know the age or authenticity of my Civil war items." Well that's a relief! Nothing like a seller that sells "Civil War items" every single week but NEVER knows if they are real or not! Nothing better to build a bidder's confidence. This is the ultimate CYA type of line. Use some logic folks. How in the heck can you sell the same type items EVERY WEEK and NEVER know if they are real??? ANSWER: YOU CAN'T!!!!! This human waste knows what he has and he knows it is worthless.
"God Bless.." Look, I am a Christian but I don't toss that tagline into EVERY auction I put up as a way to make folks think that I would NEVER sell a fake! Beware the sellers that toss that around. Many do it to disarm you. If a guy is selling fakes day in and day out...and he uses "God Bless" in his auctions...he is a T-TOTAL SCUM! Nothing worse than using God to hustle people. Ask Jim Baker!
Look folks, there is only so much anyone can do to keep you from making a bad choice. Be aware that the sellers of fakes are out there, and they will keep trying to find ways to circumvent e-bay and screw you out of your money. Go online and GOOGLE American Relic Hunters and enter their e-bay Fakes Forum. They have a "HALL OF SHAME" listing of all the e-bay sellers that sell fake items on a regular basis. It is one long list! I hope this guide helps you avoid a mistake and makes collecting from e-bay fun again.
