A free scarf pattern for beginner knitters!

Knitting is my favorite pastime. The best patterns I use are quick and prefect for starting on a Friday and wearing by Monday.
For this easy, breezy scarfpattern you will need a basic knowledge of casting on and off and the knit stitch. You will also need size 15 (10mm) straight knitting needles and about 2 oz(60grams) of your favorite fluffy worsted(light aran).
I like a fringe, so I cut 28 pieces of 20" lengths to set aside for fringe.
Cast on 14 stitches and knit 4 rows. Next row wind yarn around needle not once, but 3 times, then knit like normal. Contine across row. You now have 42 loops on your needle. The next row you knit into 1 loop and drop the other two, making a long drop stitch.
Continue down to the end, now you have 14 stitches again.
Knit 4 more rows, then the two drop stitch rows. Continue in this fashion, using up all your yarn.
Cast off after the 4 knit rows. Add fringe if desired.
