Help with my Louis Vuitton purse purchase

Hi, I just purchased this bag on eBay. I knew it needed some work, but found that Avelle would clean it for $100 and they told me they do a lot of vernis work. However, I just went to slip my Blackberry in the inside pocket and the inside pocket ripped all the way down the seam. I wasn't forceful at all. Would a real Louis Vuitton Houston Vernis do this? I was out shopping today and even though I promised myself I would stay away from the bags I could not help myself I found a great clutch made by Hobo International. Getting an OFFICIAL pre-authentication... does it save a seller from

getting hit with an SNAD if the buyer opens a fraudulent dispute/claim? I'm not talking about an informal assessment here on the boards (even though many times, I think the experts here are superior to the official Paypal authenticators). If a seller paid Carol Diva or My Poupette or Castira to authenticate their item prior to listing, and a scammer tried to call fake with Paypal, would the seller automatically win because they have already pre-authenticated it officially? Or at the very least, have a very strong chance of not getting passed over in favour of the buyer? What are your thoughts? --

MCM Michael Cromer Bags

Hi..anyone know about MCM bags..this one is designed by Michael Cromer and made in Germany. From what I've read he no longer designs for MCM but they have reopened in NYC with a different designer. I believe therefore this would be vintage?..and I believe it's authentic..do they make fake MCM bags? ..apparantly these are becoming popular again..they made alot of cognac leather in the 80s.this is a cream jacquard with leather trim..and hardware and zipper is stamped MCM...any input is appreciated..thanks

Hello ladies. I have a quick question. My 15 year old daughters grandmother gave her a Couch Patchwork purse (#12901) a few weeks ago that is NWOT. She has been invited to go to an amusement park this weekend; however, I have already spent way to much for entertainment for my 5 kids this summer. Tanipoop bought a Coach Poppy purse from me on the 6th, got it on the 10th (see my items do get to their places quickly!). She didn't contact me about the PayPal SNAD dispute she just filed. She didn't ask for a full refund just partial because she says the suede is dirty. She wants $20 off of the $79.99 price. Then I check her feedback left for others and in the past month or so she's left "not as described" for 3 different sellers for Coach bags. One seller went so far as to respond to her negative by saying "exactly as described she wanted the bag for free." I have yet to respond to her dispute. In the meantime I've emailed the 3 sellers to ask if her SNAD dispute filing is par for the course (as in, if you don't give in to her partial refund demand she gives you negative feedback). Can anything else be done?

So many fakes in one place!!!! What to do?

Just came back from a trip to my local Thrift store. OMG!!! While there I saw 6 Foaches (and I am sure there were more) 2 Fake Spades 1 Fake Furla and 12, yes folks 12 Fouis.... All but 3 of the (er hem) LV's were behind glass in the display case. All were marked as Louis Vuitton and they were asking $60 a peice for them. I asked the woman who was actually stocking 3 more!!! if I could see them... she handed them over and even my untrained eye (I have never owned one) could see they were trash...the straps were NOT leather, The hardware was too gold and cheap looking... no serial /date codes that I could find... I flat out told her, "you know these are fakes, right?".... to which she replied "yea, probably"... I told her "no, not probably, they are and it is illegal to sell these" I went into the copyright infringement and told her to look it up and that they could get into trouble for selling them... she just got that 'deer in the headlights look and shrugged and kept putting them in the display.... What can I do? Can I call the local FBI office and if I do will they investigate? ... no wonder there are so many bad fakes on Ebay, you can walk into a thrift shop any day of the week and find plenty of them. Then whoever buys it thinks they just got a bargain (or knows outright that it's fake but either is ignorant of the law or doesn't care) and trys to turn a buck. I guess it shows I've been spending waaaay too much time on the boards because a few months ago, I wouldn't have even noticed or given it a second thought.

The bag has not a single clue...no creed, no "Brighton", no "Made in China", nuttin'....except it obviously looks like Brighton metal work. The zipper sticks when closing and I think the hardware looks cheap. The metal is thinner than what i have on Coach that I purchased from Coach. Any help is always much appreciated. I just received a message from the buyer of my item #180378393821 - she says it is not authentic and wishes I would have said so in my listing and that this is the first time this has ever happened to her, but that's what she gets from buying on eBay. I found a nice Dooney and Bourke at TJ Max the other day. I would have bought it but when I looked inside, the stitching around the inner pocket was as crooked as can be. I just purchased a coach bag here on E-Bay. I recieved it today and it seems to be legit, but I was under the impression that ALL coach bags came with a stamped serial number. I purchased Signature collection F42394. Instead of a serial number it came with a business card that states: "The Coach Signature Collection features a sophisticated pattern inspired by graphic elements from Coach archives. I am trying to sell 2 used Kate bags on Ebay (that I purchased on ebay) about a year ago. I am not an expert by any means, but I bought both bags from seller that stated in ad that they were both authentic. I am now trying to move these out, I have moved on to Juicy, the listings were removed...what am I doing wrong? How do I know if the bags are authentic? Both are evening bags, very small, tag inside bag says MADE IN CHINA. Can anyone help me please??

Questions abiout Mary Frances (Retired?) bags

We got a small group of new Mary Frances bags from a relative of Mary Frances who I met. She said she used to sell them but no longer does. Only one bag has the Mary Frances tags, the others do not have tags but they were all obviously of the same origin. I tried to pick out the prettiest ones. Apologies, no pics yet but there will be when we have time. We are not sure we are going to list the bags yet, as ebay business seems to have hit summer doldrums at least for us and I am pretty much taking the next 10 days off form work. Not planning new listings, maybe relists only. This is my first experience with MF bags. They are different, in some particulars, from most of the MF bags I see on the net. They feel like boxes of thin wood, covered with textured fabrics and/or leather (the coverings are thin and I can't tell). The coverings are textured and/or painted, with the colorful imaginative beading and stones, etc. applied over that. They are all shoulder bags with the shoulder straps of cord and metal chain. They do not have magnetic closings. On ebay, the closest thing I notice to these bags is a cat shaped MF bag that is now being auctioned. Mine look like that type but they are not cats. Does anyone know MF bags well, who can tell me any info about these? Are they retired or something new? I would guess retired. Thanks for any info. And hi to you pursies! I haven't been on this board for a while, haven't been buying many bags, very time consuming trying to rule out the possibility of fakes unless you get them from a designated retailer. I don't think relatives of the Louis Vuitton family are selling their purses, he he.

I promise I have researched this, but have not found an answer. Hope you can help! Is Gucci only made in Italy? I found a couple of sites which said they were also legitimately made in China and Mexico. What about vintage Gucci bags? Ever made outside Italy? Thanks for any help you can give.

Is this Prada jacket genuine/authentic?

Hi. I bought this from a charity shop for my brother but he didn't like it. I was doubtful it was real due to the price I paid for it, but i quite liked it and the Prada thing was more of a novelty thing, so it's just been sat in my drawer since, and didn't know how to list it on ebay not knowing if its fake or not. Anyway, here are the pictures, any help much appreciated as i'm clueless on this sort of thing! Men's 'Prada' thin zip up jacket: This is the red label on the side of the jacket: This is the inside label: The zips have 'Prada Milano' on them: This is the inside plastic label on the neck. This has either come off and been stitched back on (in different colour thread on the right) or (which i thought would be more likely) just been cowboy'd on. But anyway, I have no idea, i've always assumed its a fake just because of where I got it, but thought it was worth checking out just in case. Much appreciated

Just cleaned out my closet and found some old Coach replicas buried in there (back when I didn't know any better... 0_0 ) Now, I was thinking to throw them directly into the garbage (cutting them up, etc).... OR Should I take a permanent marker and write "Fake" inside in various places (creed, etc)... and give them to goodwill? What are your thoughts...?

I will never buy Coach items on EBAY again....

I recently purchased a used Coach Signature Checkbook Wallet on ebay which was the signature brown with gold trim. It just arrived and when I held the wallet I realized that it was VERY light and flimsy which made me worry that it is not authentic. I've researched many sites helping me figure out the distinct differences between real and fake coach. Foolishly, I ignored that fact that it did not say anywhere that was authentic. Thankfully the seller had returns accepted so I have already contacted her to let her know I'd like a refund. So my question is because people are not necessarily stating whether or not it is 100% authentic, can they still get away selling it? And should I report the seller because I've bough coach before and their wallets are heavy and sturdy and the patterns ALWAYS match up unlike this bag. I'm not using this as a personal vendetta to the seller but what if she goes and relisted the item and someone else falls for the same thing I did? Thank you for anyone who can help

Brendaruth asked me to make a post. I received an email from Brendaruth requesting prayers for her infant grandson, Brayton. He was born on December 8 and was just diagnosed with HLH.
